La rappresentazione artistica consente letture su più piani della realtà, non deve essere univoca ma aprirsi a una serie di richiami, significati, interpretazioni evocando pensieri, Idee e suggestioni. "Calma e serenità" è un altro rebus. Una figura di donna avanza ieraticamente fluttuando sulla spuma dell'acqua che si infrange sulle rocce. Il teschio ai suoi piedi ci indica che siamo di fronte ad un memento mori .

Questa teca si riferisce, più che al "lasciarsi andare" al "lasciar andare".

Memento Mori

The artistic representation gives the opportunity to have different interpretations of reality on many different levels. It has not to be unambiguous and gives rise to a number of evocations, meanings, interpretations, increasing thoughts, Ideas and  awesomeness. "Calmness and serenity" is another brainteaser, a rebus. A woman moves forward solemny, floating on the water foam. The skull at her feet suggests we are at the presence of a memento mori.

This display case refers more to "letting go" instead of "let yourself go".

 La dinamicità nella teca è data sia dall'avanzare della donna che dal cadere di fiori intorno a lei e dal movimento lento e disordinato delle chiocciole. La chiocciola evoca il lungo percorso spirituale: essa si muove lentamente e rappresenta il muoversi con gradualità ma sicurezza verso un obiettivo. Ma altrettanto importante del suo procedere è il suo stare ferma. La chiocciola può ritirarsi nel suo guscio anche per lunghi periodi, insegnandoci che a volte è meglio arrestarsi, ritirarci in noi stessi e che la miglior strategia è non fare nulla.

La spirale del suo guscio riflette la costante matematica universale espressa dalla serie numerica di Fibonacci: la spirale rappresenta il mistero profondo della vita e l'unità di tutto ciò che esiste.

The silent advancing of the woman,  the flowers gently falling down around her and the slow and imaginary slipping snails, all those elements give motion to the display case. The snail represents the long lasting spiritual  path: it moves slowly and suggests to move gradually but with self-confidence towards our goal. As we move on, it is also essential to stand still. As a matter of fact, the snail is able to retire itself in its own shell for long periods, telling us that sometimes it's better to stop, shutting ourselves and that the best thing to do is doing absolutely nothing.
Its spiral shell reflects the universal mathematical constant stated by Fibonacci's number system: the spiral represents life's intense deep mystery and the connection between everything that lives.

Nelle mie opere la presenza degli animali rappresenta sempre il richiamo ctonio alla natura selvatica e primitiva, oppure l'invito all'autenticità ed all'onestà, o simboleggiano la purezza e la bontà, o hanno la funzione di  consolazione e di alleviare le nostre pene. In questo caso sono il monito, lo sbeffeggiamento della nostra civiltà dell'accumulo e del consumo, in cui la parola cooperazione è sostiruita dal termine competizione.
In my works, the presence of the animals always represents the hidden call to our wild and primitive nature, or the call upon us to be authentic and honest, or they symbolize pureness and goodness, or, last but not least, animals have the specific function of consolation and relief from pain.
In this display case they act as a warning, as a mocking at our accumulation and consumption civilization, where the word cooperation is replaced by the word competition.

Ambientata in una discarica, in cui carcasse di auto, oggetti fuori uso, rottami della civiltà si accumulano a caso. Questo scenario è popolata solo da primati: un pianeta delle scimmie tra cui, in un omaggio alle scene iniziali di "2001 Odissea nello spazio" di Stanley Kubrick ( profonda riflessione filosofica sulla natura dell'uomo, sulla sua evoluzione e sul suo futuro in rapporto con l'universo), una scimmietta brandisce un osso. Quel gesto segna lo sviluppo, l'evoluzione/involuzione della nostra specie.

It takes place in a garbage dump, where wrecked cars, out of order machines and civilization's junkers are  randomness  lumped together . This backdrop is  populated by Primates: a planet of apes where, as an homage to Stanley Kubrick's "2001: a space odissey" first scenes, a little monkey waves a bone.
At one stroke, the sign of the development, the evolution/involution of our species.

 
 

Lo stilita riesce a individuare l'insidia del male e a rifiutarla, rafforzato dalla preghiera e da un animo forgiato dall'ascetismo più severo.Due testimoni sornioni dell'Apocalisse: Pippo che sorridente osserva la scimmia con l'osso e Castorino Operaio reggente un teschio umano, che indica che siamo in presenza di un memento mori.
The stylites can recognise the evil's trap and refuse it, strenghten by the power of prayers and by the most uncompromising ascetism shaped soul. Two sly witnesses of the Apocalypse: a smiling Goofy looking at the monkey wawing the bone and Worker Little Beaver bearing a human skull, revealing us the memento mori.

Una novena in primo piano: sono 9 Lucy nel cielo con un diamante appeso. L'uomo uovo è un teschio in sezione. L'arcangelo dell'Annunciazione, Superman,  ha gli stessi colori del manto e della veste della Madonna. Simbologie nelle nicchie della teca. E' un tour magico del mistero. E' una teca depistante.

A "novena" ( a series of  Christian prayers said for nine days) to the fore: they are 9 Lucy in the sky with a diamond hanging. The egg man is a cross section skull. The Annunciation archangel, Superman; his costume has the same colors of the Holy Mary's dress and  mantle. It's a magical mistery tour.
It's a display case that puts you on the wrong track.

Aspetti dell'uomo e dell'universo mondano. Un pensiero che esprime degli elementi minori, sensuali, pulsionali: una visione apocalittica, qualche volta accettabile, che raggiunge inconsapevolmente la grandezza del pop nella sua accezione migliore. Un aspetto apocalittico e mortifero.

Several aspects of mankind and  wordly universe. A thought expressing minor, sensual, instinc  elements: an apocalyptic view, sometimes reasonable, that reaches unwittingly pop's greatness in it's best meaning. An apocalyptic and deadly side.
