La rappresentazione artistica consente letture su più piani della realtà, non deve essere univoca ma aprirsi a una serie di richiami, significati, interpretazioni evocando pensieri, Idee e suggestioni. "Calma e serenità" è un altro rebus. Una figura di donna avanza ieraticamente fluttuando sulla spuma dell'acqua che si infrange sulle rocce. Il teschio ai suoi piedi ci indica che siamo di fronte ad un memento mori .

Questa teca si riferisce, più che al "lasciarsi andare" al "lasciar andare".

Memento Mori

The artistic representation gives the opportunity to have different interpretations of reality on many different levels. It has not to be unambiguous and gives rise to a number of evocations, meanings, interpretations, increasing thoughts, Ideas and  awesomeness. "Calmness and serenity" is another brainteaser, a rebus. A woman moves forward solemny, floating on the water foam. The skull at her feet suggests we are at the presence of a memento mori.

This display case refers more to "letting go" instead of "let yourself go".

 La dinamicità nella teca è data sia dall'avanzare della donna che dal cadere di fiori intorno a lei e dal movimento lento e disordinato delle chiocciole. La chiocciola evoca il lungo percorso spirituale: essa si muove lentamente e rappresenta il muoversi con gradualità ma sicurezza verso un obiettivo. Ma altrettanto importante del suo procedere è il suo stare ferma. La chiocciola può ritirarsi nel suo guscio anche per lunghi periodi, insegnandoci che a volte è meglio arrestarsi, ritirarci in noi stessi e che la miglior strategia è non fare nulla.

La spirale del suo guscio riflette la costante matematica universale espressa dalla serie numerica di Fibonacci: la spirale rappresenta il mistero profondo della vita e l'unità di tutto ciò che esiste.

The silent advancing of the woman,  the flowers gently falling down around her and the slow and imaginary slipping snails, all those elements give motion to the display case. The snail represents the long lasting spiritual  path: it moves slowly and suggests to move gradually but with self-confidence towards our goal. As we move on, it is also essential to stand still. As a matter of fact, the snail is able to retire itself in its own shell for long periods, telling us that sometimes it's better to stop, shutting ourselves and that the best thing to do is doing absolutely nothing.
Its spiral shell reflects the universal mathematical constant stated by Fibonacci's number system: the spiral represents life's intense deep mystery and the connection between everything that lives.

"Mi disegni, perfavore, una pecora?"

"Draw me a sheep!"

 Questa è la prima teca rammemorante che mi ha lasciato ed è una teca biografica, pensata e realizzata per un amico in occasione del suo compleanno. Topo è un suo soprannome e quindi una trappola per topi viene inserita nella teca come un amuleto: infatti la trappola per topi,  ben visibile in primo piano, non è innescata. L'auspicio è che mai nessuno sia in grado di tendergli una trappola e, se così fosse, egli sappia scansarla: e infatti nessun topo è intrappolato nella teca. Sono stata a lungo indecisa se fosse una teca amuleto o una teca talismano, in quanto la differenza tra i due mi faceva propendere in un momento per un oggetto e in un altro momento per un altro.

L'AMULETO è considerato protettivo/passivo, che protegge o porta fortuna in generale.

Il TALISMANO è considerato proiettivo/attivo: esso propizia e attira particolari benefici, arrivando anche a donare delle potenzialità al suo possessore.

Ero indecisa. Poi non lo sono più stata e la teca è diventata un amuleto.

This is the first display case that left me and it's also a biographical one, created and realized for a friend on the occasion of his birthday. "Mouse" is one of his nick-names and that's why a mousetrap has been integrated in the display case as an amulet: as a matter of fact the mousetrap, that you can easily see in the foreground, is not triggered. The omen is: no one will be ever able to set him a trap and, if this can happen, he will avoid the danger: that is the reason why no mouse is in the trap! For a long time I found myself undecided whether it was an amulet display case or a talisman display case: this decision would have made the case.
The AMULET is considered to be protective/passive, that protects or generally it brings good luck.
The TALISMAN is considered to be projective/active: it propitiates and draws blessings, even giving power to the owner.
I was so undecided. Then the display case become an amulet.



Sullo sfondo sono riportati il finale e il disegno originale dell'autore de "Il Piccolo Principe" di Antoine De Saint- Exupéry, uno di quei libri da leggere ogni cinque anni. Ho letto che nel 1993 è stato dato il nome di 46610 Bésixdouze a un asteroide appena scoperto: è un omaggio al racconto poichè Petit Prince proveniva dall'asteroide B612, che in francese si scrive appunto Bésixdouze. Inoltre 46610 è l'equivalente decimale del numero esadecimale B612, quindi il Piccolo Principe abita proprio lì! Avranno visto la sua capricciosa rosa?

On a red background the end words and the orignal drawing of "The little prince" by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry, one of those books that should be read every five years. I've heard that in 1993 the name of 46610 Bésixdouoze has been given to a new discovered asteroid: and this is a tribute to the novel because the Little Prince came from the B612 asteroid that, in french, is written Bésixdouze! Furthermore 46610 is the decimal equivalent of the hexadecimal number 612, and so surely the Little Prince lives there!

Would they have seen his capricious rose?

"C'est le temps que tu as perdu pour ta rose qui fait ta rose si importante."

Ça c’est, pour moi, le plus beau et le plus triste paysage du monde. C’est le même paysage que celui de la page précédente, mais je l’ai dessiné une fois encore pour bien vous le montrer. C’est ici que le petit prince a apparu sur terre, puis disparu.

Regardez attentivement ce paysage afin d’être sûrs de le reconnaître, si vous voyagez un jour en Afrique, dans le désert. Et, s’il vous arrive de passer par là, je vous en supplie, ne vous pressez pas, attendez un peu juste sous l’étoile ! Si alors un enfant vient à vous, s’il rit, s’il a des cheveux d’or, s’il ne répond pas quand on l’interroge, vous devinerez bien qui il est. Alors soyez gentils ! Ne me laissez pas tellement triste : écrivez-moi vite qu’il est revenu...
