La battaglia infuria in una stanza, un campo di battaglia piuttosto limitato, ma forse è anche solo un luogo della nostra mente. I soldatini si dispongono copiosi sul territorio in modo irregolare:  che un bambino sta giocando alla guerra nel salotto di casa dei genitori. La guerra con i soldati veri è un gioco di strategia per gli adulti in cui però i combattenti hanno lo stesso ruolo che hanno per i giochi di bambini: figurine di piombo o di plastica, anonime, militi ignoti. Is there life on Mars?

The battle enrages in the room, a small battlefield, that could be a place in our mind. The many little soldiers arrange irregularly on the territory: a child is playing a wargame in the living room. The war with real soldiers it's an adults' strategy game, where human beings have the same rule they have now for this child: tin soldier, plastic troops, nameless, Unknown Soldier. Is there life on Mars?

In questa stanza, le cui pareti sono dipinte con uno stile che richiama i primi lavori di Sol LeWitt: tra le  linee parallele si inserisce il simbolo del pianeta Marte. I soldatini combattono per un trono che è vuoto, su cui non siede nessuno: la caducità del potere.


In this room the walls are inspired by the style in the first art works by Sol LeWitt: between the lines the symbol of Mars planet is represented. The little soldiers fight for an empty throne, no one is sitting there: the vanity of power.

Mercurio è un pianeta di terra. Nella mitologia greca Mercurio era il messaggero degli dèi. Il suo colore è il giallo chiaro. E' preposto alla comunicazione, che presuppone un oratore e un uditore.
Questa teca è consacrata alla disponibilità al dialogo. La scritta "ti ascolto" occupa uno spazio vuoto e neutro sullo sfondo: indica il non condizionamento di quest'udire, l'assenza di pregiudizio, la disponibilità di porsi di fronte a chi ci vuole dire qualcosa a lasciarsi carta bianca, ad essere disposti a riempire questo spazio con le sue parole, con la sua storia, con ciò che ci vuole comunicare.
L'importanza delle parole è sottolineata dalle lettere poste al fondo della teca, da cui emanano luce, colore e movimento: se ci si mette nella posizione di ascoltare, non solo di sentire, le parole prendono significato, si animano, prendono vita, prendono forma. Sono animate da giovinetti perchè l'età che identifica Mercurio è quella  in cui il bambino inizia a parlare.

Mercury is a planet of Earth. In the Greek mithology, Mercury was the Gods' messanger. It's color is light yellow. It's the planet of communication and this requires a speaker and a listener.
This display case is consecrated to the opening, to the dialogue. The inscription "ti ascolto"/"I am listening to you" resides in an empty and neutral space in the background: it means that there is no prejudice, no preconception, only  the willingness to listen to whatever can be told, giving free hand, filling this open space with words, with a tale, with any form of communication.
To give prominence to the words is underlined by the position of the big coloured letters at the bottom of the display case. Colour, light and mouvement radiate from these letters, these words: "parlami"/"talk to me". If you really listen to, and nor only hear, the words take on a different meaning, they become alive, brighten up, take shape. The letters are jazzed up with young people because the age  Mercury indicates is the one in which a child starts to talk.
