La mandragola è un genere di pianta appartenente alla famiglia delle Solanacee, la cui radice caratterizzata da una peculiare biforcazione, ricorda una figura umana. Una delle tradizioni vuole che la radice nasca dallo sperma degli impiccati emesso in punto di morte. Il cavaliere della Morte è presente sullo sfondo in un'incisione.
Mandrake is the common name for members of the plant genus mandragora, belonging to the Nightshades family: because the roots often contain bifurcation causing them to resemble human figures, their roots have long been used in magic rituals. One of many traditions pretends that this root only grows where the semen of an hanged man had dripped onto the ground at the moment of his death. The engraving of Death Knight is in the background.

Un inquietante ciclo di morte e nascita racchiuso in una stanza dalla tappezzeria antica, rovinata dal tempo. In questa sala crescono alberi senza foglie dai cui rami penzola la figura di un impiccato. Il pavimento è ricoperto di terra da cui nascono delle creature che assomigliano a dei neonati. il primo sulla sinistra è deforme.
A disturbing life and death cycle enclosed in a room with ancient tapestry covering the walls, ruined by the passing of time. In this hall grow trees without leaves: on one of their branches someone is hanging. The floor is covered by soil. From the soil newborn shaped creatures born: the first on the left is twisted.
Qualcuno nasce maledetto, qualcuno ha come destino l'inimicarsi il registro del catasto.
